Foster Electric Co., Inc., is a distributor of electrical equipment and supplies. We specialize in all of the electrical materials that are required in the residential, commercial, industrial and governmental markets. Located at 1420 Campbell Ave., Lynchburg, Va., 24501, our fleet of trucks offers daily service within the metropolitan area.  Map Directions.

Our Mission

From our present 45,000 square foot facility we are able to offer sales and delivery service throughout central Virginia and the surrounding areas. We offer same day shipping within the continental US and are presently shipping to the Americas, Europe & Asia.

As Foster Electric is an independent business we feel that we are in close contact with the needs of our customers, and are able to offer them the value-added services of a full line distributor. Since our founding in 1956, Foster Electric continues to offer FAST delivery/shipping at VERY competitive prices.

History

Foster Electric was founded in 1956, in a residential garage by Mr. Aubrey E. Foster, Sr.

In 1958, due to increasing business and a need for a storefront, Foster Electric moved to our second location at 707 Fifth Street, Lynchburg, Virginia.

By the summer of 1965, having outgrown its second location, it was necessary to move to a larger facility at 1500 Campbell Avenue, Lynchburg, Virginia

In 1982 Foster Electric moved to its present location at 1420 Campbell Avenue. From its beginnings in a garage to today’s remodeled facility of 45,000 square feet, a staff of over 35 employees stands ready to help you with all of your electrical equipment needs.
